We made a conscious decision to currently produce in China. Because even if it says "Made in Europe" or "Made in Germany", period underwear in the EU or Germany is only put together.
The materials (raw materials, semi-finished products) still come from Egypt, Bangladesh or China.
We have found a family business in China that produces according to ethical standards and does all the steps in their company.
Thus, the production is more ecological and sustainable and cheaper than if we rely on "Made in Germany".

All Sphinx underwear is rigorously tested for harmful chemicals and certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which includes REACH requirements [BEMO 062506 TESTEX].
What lies behind these numbers and letters is the guarantee that every component of the product, from the fabric to the trimmings, has been thoroughly tested and certified for ecological harmlessness.

In addition, Sphinx products have been certified by Control Union Certifications according to the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Because we know that the choice of our fabrics has an impact on the environment. That's why we use high-quality, biodegradable and recycled materials as often as possible. These can consist of pre-consumer goods (unused textiles or yarn) or post-consumer goods (used fishing nets and water bottles).
