I use them at the end of my period, when my days are typically lighter, and in the day or so before my period might start... just to make myself less anxious about being caught without protection.

Actual life saver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love these Hiphugger ! I've been wearing them since I was twelve or thirteen, and they've saved me so much headache. Although I don't use them as they're advertised, I put a pad on top of them and they've held up really well for the past two years! They make me feel so much more confident and less stressed about leaks and stuff. They're especially good in bed, because I don't have to worry about getting blood on the sheets, which used to happen to me almost every period, which sucked. I’ve been using menstrual cups for a while I sometime pair them with pads on heavy days just in case I couldn’t get the bathroom often enough or doesn't have a clean place to empty and wash my cup and risked leaks. My SPHINX underwear has been an awesome reusable and waste-free way to solve that problem

Protection when sleeping was important and it totally works for most days. But today when I slept on my front I ended up leaking and it was on a heaviest flow. Maybe higher absorption on the front would be better. Otherwise they are amazing.

So far my sphinx have only been used for for 6 cycles, I am 100% happy with them so far. I had no leaks, even on my heaviest day. I will review again after 12 months once they've been through a few more cycles and washes

Best Backup Ever
I'm that adult woman and I can't get a handle on my flow. I've used cups and after a few years had to go back to tampons. Even with the switch, I still wasn't able to manage my heavy days with liners. A friend living in Germany sang the praises of SPHINX and I can't believe I didn't listen to her sooner. Yeah, I still can't get a full grasp on my flow. But at least I don't need to carry a spare pair of pants with me once a month. They're comfortable and fit excellently. You don't feel like you're wearing much more than a standard pair of undies. I cannot recommend these enough!

I expected the Hiphugger to be good, but not this good! I have struggled with endometriosis and very heavy flooding periods for years and I am always searching for something that makes periods less miserable. I haven't tried these at my heaviest, but these make my medium days feel like I'm not wearing anything! Also, they look very nice on.

I use the hiphuggers for heavy days--particularly at night or if I'm playing sports for an extended period of time. No tampon necessary. These work just as they're advertised though. They are comfortable and absorbent and I've never had any leakage. I've tried other brands and they that don't leak, but also don't absorb very well which is uncomfortable. Sphinx does it all! I love them. My only note is that hiphuggers with most of my jeans results in visible panty lines. Either way, they've changed my periods for the better!!

I wore it for 12 hours on a heavy flow day and it held up. I wouldn't do this at work though because the only issue is what to do when you eventually need to change. I guess you can wear a pad in the beginning but the pad defeats the purpose. My suggestion for heavy flow days is to wear them for bed or working out or if you know you won't be out all day. They do work great. Wonderful alternative.

I've got like 6 pairs of sphinx now and love them! I wear them throughout my period as well as during those "not sure if I'm gonna get it today or not" days where they give me enormous peace of mind. Really the only thing I remove 1 star is that I tend to have a difficult time washing them (maybe I'm not doing it right - it seems to take a lot to get everything out). But I love them and wish I'd had these years ago!!

I bought my SPHINX a year ago with doubts for sure, but I have been looking for alternatives to disposable pads for quite some time. I tried a few other products like cups but nothing was really comfortable or working. So when I came across SPHINX I was of course hesitant and curious. After my first month with them I was so impressed no leaks, no mess, and no worrying! I used them during day and night and equally impressed. They have leaked on me once since buying them but I was having a unusual heavier flow so I don't think it was an issue with SPHINX. Over all very impressed and recommend.

I like to use sphinx to get a break from my menstrual cup and on the last days of my period, when my flow is moderate and light. The underwear is a bit bigger than I imagined, and I get a bit of a sticky feeling after 12h (only when it is very full), but I love sparing the environment from single use product

Great!I've been using SPHINX for almost a year now, so I figured I could write a good review. The fabric is great, it is nice sewed and is still in good shape (I really follow the washing instruction) . Only giving 4 stars because I wish they could hold more than 5 Tampons worth.

Wonderfull solution but not for all days...
I would say that is a wonderfull solution for all the days that the flow is medium or low, but not for the heavier flows. I bought 1 set of 3 for heavy and 1 set for medium flow.The undies for heavy flow was told to hold up to 5 regular tampons, but it holds much more if you stand up all day as I do, well I am not sure how it works someone that stay long hours sitting. After 12H aborbing heavy bleeding, the undie weights a bit. The other days of medium flow, is actualy very good it never weights, maybe it dries right away!!! I realy love the design and the fabric

I love my Sphinx! I wear the hiphuggers but during the heaviest days of my period, I need to use a tampon or a pad as well. I also need to change my tampon every hour, which explains everything. Within 4-5h, blood will seep through the sides of my Sphinx if I'm not using another layer of protection. That being said, I still love them, and during the lighter days, I love not having to worry about anything

These are the best hiphugger in my opinion. No leaks. Comfy and nice.But they don't do for heavy flow days ( holds up to 7-8 Tampons worth), a pity, because an entire period using Sphinx would be great. So, they'll do a great job as far as you use something else for the heavy days, or just use them for a few hours.

I love this product! I have been wanting to get into using more sustainable hygiene products during my period and I absolutely love these Hiphugger. It feels so freeing to be able to not have to worry about changing a tampon throughout the day. Its great for light days when I would normally use a liner. I wish they held more than 5-6 tampons worth for my heavier days. I have washed it 10 times and it is still in best shape.

On my heavy days, my flow is really very heavy, blood just floods. so I did not expect SPHINX to absorb all the fluids alone. I really still need to use the cup on my heavy days together with the hiphugger. The good news is: I don’t bleed through my undies any more, which has unfortunately happened many times before. I am able to use these exclusively for my period which is amazing because tampons have always been a problem and disposable pads are so uncomfortable. The only time I have trouble with them leaking is during heavy exercise when I am sweating excessively. I have 9 pairs now so when my flow is the heaviest I may change 3 -4 times a day, but otherwise 2 per day is all I need

Good, but not enough for heavy period
I was looking for something to sleep in that would be more comfortable than an overnight pad since tampons just don’t cut it for a whole night for me, but these really don’t absorb enough for that. Maybe on a light day you could use them like at the tail end of your period or the beginning, but it was completely comfortable and I didn’t feel wet at all until they were too full. They hold about 4 regular tampons worth of blood so for me that was only about 3-4 hours of use. You do have to rinse them out in cold water before putting them in the wash and you can’t put them in the dryer so a little more work involves there. I think I would need to buy too many pairs for them to be worth it for me and I would have to get up at 4 am to change them and wash the used ones, but might be enough for someone else.

These are fantastic. I was skeptical about the absorbancy and wondered how 'icky' it might be to rise but I LOVE them! They are breathable and comfortable and I have yet to have any issues with leaks on ever heavy days. They are well made and feel like they'll hold up for a while.

This panties are great. I measured my hips with a tape measure and purchased the size based on the sphinx recommended size chart. The fit was perfect for me, because based on the measurements I bought 1 size bigger than usaul. So it is better to measure before placing the order!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because I didn't want to compromise the product i followed the recommended washing instructions. So day two of my period, it is a heavy flow day, I wore the panties with no other hygiene aids, just the panty and went to work. I was able to get my full day in with no discomfort or unplanned bathroom breaks. Best of all, no smell, no leak through!

I'm a female athlete; any female athlete can testify that training on your period is the pits. Tampons slip. Pads are wretched.! Thus to continue training through my period I had to find an option that worked. So after shopping around and seeing many unaffordable options I found this product. I read through the reviews and thought hey lets give it a shot.

These were a Godsend. I love them. No leaks. No anything! You forget your “suffering” from the aunt flo attack because you’re not bogged down with changing pads every few hours. My flow is moderate so that’s what I got. I was able to wear them for 12 hours without a thought. No heaviness no wetness. I washed them I. The machine two pair at a time to air dry them in time so I had full use of 6 panties my entire cycle. They only take a couple hours to dry. I suggest just rinsing them before if you aren’t going straight to the laundry. Awesome purchase.

I was really unsure what size to order since I’m between a size 6-8. I ordered a size medium and they looked huge when I got them, but fit perfectly. They are a little stretchy, and super comfortable. The mesh on the sides are great quality that appears durable and lasting without ripping. I wore these on a heavy flow night sleeping on my stomach, back and sides with zero issues. My sheets were still very clean in the morning. The underwear absorbed a night of heavy flow and didn’t seem any bigger by the morning or show any visible signs that I had bled in them. They are very slim and extremely movable, great for wearing under clothes. I plan on buying more!

Good Backup Underwear
The Hiphugger is good to wear alone for medium flow days; It's a little too heavy for light flow days and is good backup underwear worn with my menstrual cup for heavy flow days. I would say my flow is quite heavy and lasts 5 -6 days. I have been saving my money since I bought them and waste of panty liners
