The membrane system in the crotch area consists of 4 breathable layers:

The first layer is made of organic cotton. It directs the liquid inside the underpants at lightning speed so that it always stays dry and fresh.
The second layer soaks up the liquid and traps it. It is steamed with a bacteria-inhibiting agent. It can absorb up to 60ml of liquids.
The third layer is impermeable so that nothing leaks and ensures that there is no Switzerland.
The fourth layer is comfortable to wear without any rustling effect.

Characteristics

The Sphinx Boyshort is certified and tested for harmful substances according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® [SHKO 068780 TESTEX]. The cotton used is certified according to GOTS standards. The underwear is therefore kind to the skin and harmless to health.

Sphinx Boyshort, Convenient way to manage leaks! Since having two babies, my period has been much heavier and my menstrual cups less comfortable -- I'm figuring it all out all over again! These Cotton Boyshort have given me peace of mind while I sleep or go about my life, as I no longer have to worry about leaks (and the ruined underwear and stained sheets that come with them!). Worth it!!! Thought i'd give these a try. I dont fully trust them to go completely without ny normal protection yet. Im a super flow and i bought the boyshort sphinx but they say the max they hold is 6 tampons. Really great first time use of period panties! I got 1 set of 3 pack of sphinx boyshorts plus another 3-pack of Hiphugger and tried them out for the first time 3 months ago. I had never used period panties before and I had a great experience with these. So much so, I ordered a third 3 pack of classic and plan to make these part of my monthly routine during my period. Findings - Yes, these boyshorts are actually very absorbent. No leaking overnight! - Comfortable. If you are between sizes, please measure before ordering. I wear a medium or large usually, ordered these in a large and kind of wish I got the medium so the fabric would sit a little tighter to my body, but honestly they still work well in this size too. - Just throw them in the wash on cold, no need to rinse first unless you want to. That is convenient for me. I read reviews that some people will wear them into the shower to rinse them on really heavy days etc. when they don't want to put them straight into the wash. I appreciate that they can just go in the wash without rinsing first if needed. (I tested by washing 1 boyshort sphinx after a heavy day, no rinsing first, with a pink shirt - no staining and everything came out clean). -Need multiple sets. You have to plan ahead with these unless you buy multiple sets because they need some time to air dry after washing before using again. Overall, I will definitely use these every month now! I love that I can use them in overnights and have peace of mind about not leaking. The boyshorts especially are extra absorbent and offer lots of coverage.

Get your set I have a true hourglass shape and that makes wearing boy shorts difficult at times - just the cut doesn't really work well. But these are unexpectedly comfortable. And oh my GOD, I wish there had been period panties my entire reproductive life. But if I couldn't have them for all that time at least I have them now. When I am deeply in peri-menopause and have had to deal with Carrie level cycles for years and years. These actually do work alone for normal flow - and they might for my heavy-heavy flow, but I pair them up with tampon, or pad and that one extra layer gives me more confidence to go out in the world during heavy flow days. I know that sounds like a commercial - but it really does work.

These actually work! I have a heavy flow with clots and all...I wore a pair for the first time on my heaviest day and there were no breakthroughs which is nearly unheard of for me even in an extra long overnight pad during the day. If you have a thicker booty than I do,than you are going to want to go up at least one size from what the sizing says, but for us people with a smaller booty they are perfect. I am very pleased overall!

Everything I need and even More!!!! I've been wanting to move away from pads for a long time now, they generate a lot of trash and I find them very itchy. I've been using Sphinx for about 5 months now and have not used a single pad. The Boyshort is amazing. I wear them on my heaviest days and don't have to change in the middle of the day. The classic is perfect for moderate and light days. They feel like normal underwear, definitely less bulky feeling than a pad and they aren't itchy at all. I haven't had any incidences with getting blood on my pants since using Sphinx! They're also super easy to wash and the blood comes out no fuss no muss. The underwear do seem to hold more smell than a pad does, but you have to get really close to notice and it goes away when you wash them. On top of all this, the underwear themselves are actually cute. Now I'm never itchy during my period and don't generate all that trash.
